ABOUT US

Game of Chess

Dementia Action Alliance is a community group made up of local residents, public, private and voluntary organisations who focus on work in the Kent areas to improve the lives locally for residents living with dementia. Our principal actions and activities will be those designed to improve the outlooks of those locally in response to the insight and feedback gained from the community, and as agreed by the members.

These include:

• Enabling people to live well with dementia and to feel part of their community.
• Engaging with people living with dementia in all parts of our work where possible.
• Providing awareness raising activities across Kent to increase understanding of dementia.
• Promoting the ‘Working to Become Dementia Friendly Recognition Symbol’ in all Kent areas for both Businesses and Organisations and Care and Health Services.

If you would like to be part of the Dementia Action Alliance movement, we would love to hear from you.

To get in touch with your local area Dementia Action Alliance (DAA) or Dementia Friendly Community (DFC) group, go to Kent Connect to Support for contact details. Alternatively, you can contact the Kent-wide DAA.
