ABOUT US
The Kent Dementia Action Alliance is a network of service providers, care givers and professionals who volunteer their time to ensure that there is the support you need within your local community and at home. We aim to ensure that every person affected by Dementia has the means to access services, events, activities and groups as well as being able to receive the help they need at home to allow you to live life, take part in social activities and have places to go where you'll feel welcome and safe.
EVENTS
There are lots of groups, activities and events running in Kent, as well as one off events that are Dementia Friendly. We aim to make sure you can access as many of these as possible.
WORKING TO BECOME DEMENTIA FRIENDLY SYMBOL
This symbol demonstrates that your business or organisation is working towards becoming dementia friendly, and that the person with dementia will therefore be welcomed and can expect understanding, respect and support.
The scheme is free to join and just asks you to consider small changes that will make a big difference to your customers and local community. The application process is very simple and Dementia Action Alliance members are here to help you.
Once accredited, you will be able to display this logo in your premises and website to show that you are working to become dementia friendly.
