The Kent Dementia Action Alliance is a network of service providers, care givers and professionals who volunteer their time to ensure that there is the support you need within your local community and at home. We aim to ensure that every person affected by Dementia has the means to access services, events, activities and groups as well as being able to receive the help they need at home to allow you to live life, take part in social activities and have places to go where you'll feel welcome and safe.
There are lots of groups, activities and events running in Kent, as well as one off events that are Dementia Friendly. We aim to make sure you can access as many of these as possible.
WORKING TO BECOME DEMENTIA FRIENDLY SYMBOL
This symbol demonstrates that your business or organisation is working towards becoming dementia friendly, and that the person with dementia will therefore be welcomed and can expect understanding, respect and support.
The scheme is free to join and just asks you to consider small changes that will make a big difference to your customers and local community. The application process is very simple and Dementia Action Alliance members are here to help you.
Once accredited, you will be able to display this logo in your premises and website to show that you are working to become dementia friendly.
We would like to make sure you have access to as much information and support that you need. We have compiled a list of links, contact telephone numbers and emails as we can so that you have all you need in one place. If however you still can't find the help you need please do contact your local Dementia Coordinator who will always be happy to help as much as possible.
